ATTENTION AUTOINTERESTS INSTRUCTORS:

Effective at this Friday's Mid-Ohio event we will have two new decals available for your use to help manage and communicate your student's status throughout the event.

Keep in mind that these decals are for managing EXCEPTIONS, not to communicate the normal procedures.  The normal procedures that do not require decals HAVE NOT CHANGED and are as follows.

FIRST-TIMER Normal Procedures that DO NOT need to be indicated by decals:

• Must ALWAYS have their instructor unless approved otherwise
• May NEVER have a (non-instructor) passenger unless approved otherwise
• DO NOT drive in the open session unless approved otherwise, in which case they are generally being promoted to Novice

NOVICE Normal Procedures that DO NOT need to be indicated by decals:

• DO NOT need their instructor for every session - they are experienced, expected to be able to solo and scheduled with an instructor only EVERY OTHER session for that reason (use the INSTRUCTOR REQUIRED decal to indicate if this is not the case)
• May ONLY have a (non-instructor) passenger if approved
• May ONLY drive in the open session if approved

USE THE BELOW DECALS WITH THE INDICATED GUIDELINES TO INDICATE EXCEPTIONS FROM THE NORMAL PROCEDURES:

Please let us know if you have any questions regarding this.  These instructions will be included in your instructor packet and we will cover this in the instructor meeting Friday morning at 7:30 at Mid-Ohio where there will be an opportunity to get any questions answered.
