AutoInterests 20th Anniversary Logo
A letter from Sarah Kennedy:

If you don't know the story, years ago Jason was heavily involved In the Taurus Car Club of America - he was staff, VP and later President and owner handling both the online forum management and operations, as well as on-track events. These on-track events dating back to 2004 were the beginning of AutoInterests.

Here's Jason and our Tech Inspection Manager, Mario. Their friendship goes way back!

Jason was still running AutoInterests when I met him in 2011. In fact, after meeting him at a dinner of a mutual friend the next time I saw him was at a Nelson Ledges event he was running which I signed up to drive at.

2011: That's me in my S2000 and one of the first photos of Jason and I together.

It's crazy to think back then how different everything was - it was a smaller group of people, less structured, and far less events each year! Here's what this crazy ride has looked like since 2010:

We've come a long way... We used to do everything on paper: paper schedules, paper tech forms, excel files printed out to keep track of everyone (which made last minute registrations fun), and our chief instructors' favorite: student/instructor pairing sheets!

Year after year we made improvements, thanks to Jason's corporate IT background and my creative engineering brain, we kept adding features to improve both our internal processes and also our drivers' experience from registration to event day.

Today we have a nice clean website layout with online registration. Student/instructor pairings are done online and automatically push to each individual's schedule. We can send emails and text messages to drivers based on event and run group.

We have backend functionality which builds our driver list in real time for each event; drivers can complete their waiver and tech form digitally, and we verify them at the event. Instructors evaluate student skills and can see previous data entered by others. We built the first loyalty system in HPDE which is widely used by our drivers.

While we focused on making AutoInterests the best HPDE organization it could be by leveraging technology, we actually ended up building a software platform that is now transforming the motorsports industry. Trackside Systems is our newest venture and based on the system we originally built for AutoInterests. If you want to learn more about that or know of a track or organization that could also benefit, visit tracksidesystems.com.

We definitely couldn't have made it this far without the support of our friends, family, drivers, instructors, corporate partners, and everyone else who has been there to help at events.

With all that being said, I would like to officially reveal the AutoInterests 20th Anniversary logo!

This logo will be featured on exclusive, limited run merchandise available this season, and is as much of a celebration of our accomplishments as it is of our drivers and instructors who are like a family to us.

THANK YOU and we can't wait to see you at the track!
