Hello drivers! We look forward to seeing you on track at Nelson Ledges! Due to the current situation with COVID-19, some procedures/policies will be handled differently and are outlined below. Our full COVID-19 Information & Plan is available here, and we encourage you to read through this for full details. The following items apply to June 26-28 at Nelson Ledges Road Course: An online health attestation must be completed online no more than 24 hours prior to the event. This will be available on your "My Events" tab within 24 hours of event start time. Anyone not meeting health assessment requirements will not be permitted to attend the event. Drivers and all individuals on the property must maintain social distance at all times, even outside of event operating hours. Camping is permitted and showers/restrooms will be open with enhanced cleaning procedures in place. Nelson Ledges' food truck will be open for lunch. The event will NOT be open to the public, however spectators attending with a driver are welcome. We request you keep this number to a minimum and if arriving separately from the driver, guests will need to know the first & last name of the registered driver they are attending with. Any spectators that arrive and do not associate themselves with a driver will be denied entry. Spectators that are permitted must remain socially distanced at all times unless from the same household. Nelson Ledges charges a $10 spectator fee at the gate. The driver meeting will be live streamed - a link will be sent to you via text at the event. Anybody experiencing technical difficulty or that does not have a smart device capable of streaming may meet for the live meeting but must maintain social distance. If you have the capability of live streaming the meeting, we ask that you do so to minimize the number of people at the live meeting. Face masks are optional for participants, AutoInterests staff will be wearing masks when interacting with drivers during operating hours. Passenger Policy: When two people are in a vehicle together, both driver & passenger must have facial coverings at all times (closed face helmets with the visor shut DOES count as a facial covering). The passenger seat must be sanitized BEFORE and AFTER each passenger, with special attention to common contact points such as door handles. AutoInterests will supply cleaning supplies only for instructors conducting ride-alongs for instructional purposes. All others must provide their own cleaning supplies. AutoInterests will NOT be accepting cash and prefers that you use a form of contactless payment if available, however we will accept swipe/chip credit cards. AutoInterests pre-event TO-DO items: Pre-check-in Set instruction method preference - please do this ASAP so we can pair students with instructors who share the same preference. Log into your account at autointerests.com Click on "My Account", then go to the "My Events" tab For your upcoming event, click on START under the pre-check-in column Sign the WAIVER, click save Sign the TECH FORM, click save Upload a photo of your driver's license or other photo ID Your pre-check-in status will display "Completed" when you're done. NOTE: you must still go through tech inspection at the event! Within 24 hours of event start time we will send a reminder email to complete your health attestation. NOTE: Pre-check-in and the Health Attestation are not the same item and each will need completed separately. Pre-check-in is available NOW. Health Attestation will be available 24 hours before the event. If you know you need numbers, PRE-PURCHASE THEM ONLINE NOW! We will NOT be accepting cash at the event. Pre-purchasing these now will greatly speed up the tech line and eliminate contact. REMINDER: Vehicle numbers are REQUIRED on all cars driving on track. ACCLIMATION, FIRST TIMERS & NOVICES: 1. SET YOUR INSTRUCTION PREFERENCE! Log into your account at autointerests.com Click on "My Account" then go to the "Edit Profile" tab Choose your Preferred Instruction Method Click SAVE at the bottom Instructors and students will have the option to conduct lead-follow and observational instruction rather than in-car at their discretion, read more under the Instructional Procedure section here. 2. BUILD YOUR LEARNING PLAN! Use My Learning to manage all aspects of your learning plans: Set up learning plans, view your progress & view instructor notes Instructors evaluate and update your progress Earn HPDE Points by mastering competencies Master enough competencies to move to the next run group How to set up your Learning Plan: My Learning ➔ Manage Plans ➔ Edit Plan Create your Hot List Choose 3-5 competencies from your run group to work on each day. Use the plus/minus sign icons on the right to move competencies to and from your hot list. Work with your instructor and they will update your progress and leave notes for you.
